Scott McDonald

Scott McDonald serves as the Director of the Department of Development Services for the City of Denton since September 2017. In addition, Scott is an active member of several organizations, including the Board of Directors of the National Institute of Building Sciences and the Vice Chair of the Industrialized Building Code Council appointed by Governor Rick Perry. Previous roles include leadership positions at the City of Amarillo, where Scott directed strategic initiatives and community safety efforts. With extensive experience in building safety, regulatory services, and codes enforcement, Scott has contributed to various councils and associations, enhancing the standards and professionalism of the building industry across Texas. Scott holds a Master of Public Administration and a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Wayland Baptist University, along with other relevant educational qualifications.
