Andrew Goczkowski

Andrew Goczkowski serves as the Mayor of the City of Des Plaines, Illinois, a position held since May 2019, while also representing the 8th Ward as Alderman. Prior to this, Andrew Goczkowski has accumulated extensive experience in legislative roles, including serving as a Senior Advisor & Director of Special Projects for the U.S. House of Representatives since September 2010, and previously in various capacities such as Grants Coordinator and Legislative Assistant. Early legal career experience includes positions as Staff Attorney and Law Clerk in the City of Des Plaines' Legal Division, along with judicial externship and teaching assistant roles at The John Marshall Law School. Andrew Goczkowski holds a Juris Doctor from the University of Illinois Chicago School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
