Jonatan Martinez is an experienced professional with a strong background in public policy and continuous improvement. Currently serving as the Deputy Director of the Continuous Improvement Team for the City of Detroit, Jonatan leads Green Belt training and coaching initiatives to enhance the skills of city staff and optimize processes. Previous roles include Program Manager of the Office of Marijuana Ventures & Entrepreneurship and research-centric positions at the Gerald R. Ford School of Public Policy, focusing on food and transportation insecurity. Earlier experiences as a Mayoral Fellow and Project Coordinator at Wayne State University involved managing outreach and education projects related to home health hazards, where Jonatan coordinated numerous initiatives and partnerships to promote healthy homes. Jonatan holds a Master of Public Policy from the University of Michigan and a degree in Zoology from Michigan State University.
