Jonathan Riley is a Civic Data Designer at the City of Detroit since May 2024, with ongoing freelance work at Telescope Vision Studio. Previously, Jonathan served as HMI Insights Manager at Escalent and held various roles at Allied Media Projects, including Technology and Innovation Manager and Virtual Production Manager. Additional experience includes positions as an Operations Associate at Ann Arbor SPARK and a Graduate Student Researcher and Instructor at the University of Michigan's School of Information. Jonathan contributed to the Social Justice Coalition's End Evictions Campaign, managed event operations for the Allied Media Conference, and worked as a Research Assistant at UM-SMART. Jonathan's education includes a Doctor of Philosophy in HCI & STS, along with two master's degrees in Urban Planning and Library & Information Science, and a bachelor's degree in Media Studies and Urban Studies.
