Lauren Palmer

Lauren Palmer serves as a Recreation Program Coordinator for the City of Detroit since November 2023, responsible for facilitating year-round activities and overseeing programs that serve an average of 500 children weekly. Concurrently, as a Youth Sports Coordinator with the YMCA of Metropolitan Detroit since June 2023, Lauren engages approximately 325 youth in mobile sports programming. Previous experience includes an internship with the Detroit Pistons, where collaboration on community initiatives and social media content was key, as well as roles in community relations and youth sports supervision with various organizations. Lauren holds a degree in Tourism, Event, and Sport Management from Indiana University Indianapolis.
