Nevrus P. Nazarko

Nevrus P. Nazarko, CPA, MBA, serves as the Agency CFO for the City of Detroit Police Department since May 2019, overseeing financial activities and managing a team involved in various fiscal functions. Concurrently, Nazarko holds the position of Lecturer II at the University of Michigan-Dearborn since August 2015, teaching financial and intermediate accounting. Previous roles include Director of Finance/CFO for the City of Pontiac, Finance Director/Treasurer for the City of Novi, and Finance Director/Controller for the City of Hamtramck, among others. Nazarko also has experience as a Senior Federal Tax Specialist at KPMG. Academic qualifications include an MBA in Finance and a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, both from Wayne State University.
