Nikhil Patel

Nikhil Patel currently serves as Treasurer and Deputy Chief Financial Officer for the City of Detroit, overseeing a team of over 60 individuals in Treasury functions, including tax administration and investment management. Nikhil also holds positions as a Member of the Board of Trustees for both the Retirement System and the Policemen and Firemen Retirement System of the City of Detroit. Prior experience includes a Project Leader role at Boston Consulting Group, focusing on corporate finance and strategy, and serving as Senior Advisor to the Mayor of Detroit, where strategic initiatives and public safety improvements were implemented. Nikhil has a robust educational background with an MBA from Harvard Business School and master's degrees in Engineering from the University of Michigan.
