Aniz Alani

Aniz Alani currently serves as the Deputy City Attorney for the City Of Dripping Springs since February 2024. Previously, Alani held the position of Board Member at E-Comm 9-1-1 from September 2021 to February 2024 and General Manager of Legal and Legislative Services for the City of Abbotsford from April 2017 to February 2024, overseeing various legal and legislative functions aligned with the city's strategic objectives. Alani has extensive experience in local government law, having served as the Director of Property, Risk Management & Legal Services in Abbotsford, and held several legal roles, including Corporate Secretary at BC Hydro and Corporate Counsel at BC Transmission Corp. Alani's educational background includes a JD from the University of Toronto, an LL.M. from The University of British Columbia, and an Executive Certificate in Local Government Leadership from Dalhousie University.
