Dedreana Freeman

DeDreana Freeman, MPA, is a seasoned municipal elected official serving as a City Council Member in Durham since December 2017. In addition to this role, DeDreana operates as an Executive Business Consultant for Developing Equitable Economic Partnerships LLC, focusing on strategic planning and community development financial services. Previously held positions include Director of Partnership Development at CornerSquare Community Capital, where DeDreana enhanced commercial lending partnerships to support underserved communities, and Special Assistant to the President at East Durham Children's Initiative, where project management and community engagement were key responsibilities. With a Master of Public Administration from North Carolina Central University and dual Bachelor's degrees from Rutgers University, DeDreana Freeman has a strong background in non-profit management and community engagement.
