Kerissa Armstead

Kerissa Armstead is a skilled educator and recreation coordinator with extensive experience in outdoor recreation, environmental education, and science instruction. Currently serving as a Recreation Coordinator for the City of Durham, Kerissa leads programs for all ages, including public outings and field trips. As a Science Teacher at Franklin County Schools, Kerissa inspires and mentors students in chemistry and earth sciences while directing a district chemistry Professional Learning Community. Previous roles include customer service positions at CLEAR CREEK RAFTING LLC and Go Ape, as well as park operations at the City of Raleigh Municipal Government. Kerissa's diverse background in education and recreation is complemented by dual Bachelor's Degrees in Environmental Science and Policy and History from the University of South Florida.
