Andre Sanchez Jr is an experienced building official with a robust career spanning several municipalities. Currently serving as the Building Official for the City of El Cajon since January 2021, Sanchez has previously held the position of Building Official at Interwest Consulting Group, Inc., and served the City of Cypress as Deputy Building Official for nearly seven years. Additional roles include Deputy Building Official for the City of Mission Viejo and Assistant Building Official for the City of Hawaiian Gardens. Sanchez started in the field as a Code Enforcement Officer in South Gate and has a foundational education from Los Angeles City College and California State University, Northridge.
