Jose C.

Jose C. has extensive work experience in various roles within the information technology field. Jose is currently the Director of Information Technology at the City of El Segundo since September 2022. Prior to this, they served as the Senior Manager of Business and Program Management at Raytheon Technologies from October 2018 until September 2022. In this role, they oversaw the development of radars and other sensors for aircraft, spacecraft, and ships, as well as research in areas such as linguistics and quantum computing.

Before joining Raytheon Technologies, Jose was a Senior Project Manager at Accela from November 2016 to October 2018. Jose managed multimillion-dollar software implementation projects, including building delivery plans and tracking project milestones. From June 2012 to August 2016, they were the Information Technology Division Manager at the City of Evanston. In this position, they were responsible for all aspects of the IT department and developed and executed the city's IT goals and strategies.

Prior to their role at the City of Evanston, Jose worked as a Technical Project Manager at NanoInk, Inc. from February 2007 to June 2012. Jose was responsible for delivering IT system solutions for a life science and pharmaceutical security corporation. Additionally, they managed datacenter operations and oversaw various Microsoft Windows systems.

Before NanoInk, Inc., Jose worked as a Systems Administrator at the United Center from 2004 to 2007. Jose implemented data redundancy strategies and disaster recovery objectives, as well as translated business requirements into technical project plans.

Jose's career began as a Global Service Desk Associate at Aon in 2003, where they managed ticket requests and provided global enterprise communication support. Jose also revised IT remediation activities to comply with global service level agreements.

Jose C. has a Bachelor of Science degree in Business with a focus on Management Information Systems from the Milwaukee School of Engineering. Jose also holds a Master of Business Administration degree with a concentration in Project Management from Saint Xavier University. Additionally, they obtained the ITIL Foundation certification from AXELOS Global Best Practice in June 2014.
