Rick Ellis

Rick Ellis is an experienced Public Works Supervisor with over a decade of service at the City of Elgin, where responsibilities include overseeing city cemetery operations and Community Restitution, as well as previously supervising the Street Maintenance Department. Prior to this role, Rick served as a Lead Operator at AGL Resources, focusing on the installation, repair, and maintenance of gas utilities while ensuring safe operations around various infrastructure. Rick's career began as a Distribution Mechanic at Nicor Gas, where expertise included maintaining gas services and installing new systems. Rick holds a Bachelor’s Degree in General Studies with a minor in Business and Management from Columbia College of Missouri and an Associate of Arts and Sciences in Business Administration and Management from Shorter University.
