Icma-Cm Calvin Portner

Calvin Portner, ICMA-CM, has accumulated extensive experience in municipal management, currently serving as City Administrator for the City of Elk River since October 2011. Prior roles include Administrative Services Director for the City of Plymouth and Assistant City Manager for the City of Brooklyn Park, MN. Additionally, Calvin Portner gained experience as a coach for Andover Hockey and worked as Field Director for U.S. Representative Jim Ramstad. Calvin's career in public service began in the U.S. Air Force as a Staff Sergeant. Calvin holds a Master of Arts in Public Administration from Hamline University and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Minnesota, along with a high school diploma from New Ulm High School.
