April Shabazz

April Shabazz is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in management, nutrition, and holistic wellness. Currently serving as a Management Analyst for the City of Emeryville since July 2016, April also holds the position of Clinical Nutritionist with Heart of the Valley Pediatric Cardiology Kids In Action and is the CEO and Founder of Herbal Releaf Apothecary, established to offer high-quality organic teas. April's career includes founding In My Nature/IMN Enterprises, a holistic wellness concierge and consulting company, and has previously managed workforce development programs for Goodwill Industries and the Oakland Private Industry Council, focusing on program development and grant writing. April holds an EMPA in Public Administration from Golden Gate University, is a PhD candidate in Functional Medicine at the University of Natural Medicine, and possesses a BA in Sociology, Rhetoric and Communication, and Nutrition from the University of California, Davis.
