Karen Hemphill

Karen Hemphill has served as a School Board Member for Berkeley Unified School District since December 2006 and is currently in their third term, having held the position of Past President twice. In addition to their role in education, Karen has worked for the City of Emeryville since January 1997, where responsibilities have included serving as a Senior Management Analyst, City Clerk, and Public Information Officer. Karen holds a Bachelor of Arts in Asian Studies and Comparative Politics from Brown University and a Master of Arts in Political Science and Public Administration from the University of California, Berkeley.
