Matthew Shirhall

Matthew Shirhall is an experienced parks and recreation professional with a background in programming, facility management, and personal training. Currently serving as a Parks and Recreation Programmer for the City of Eudora since May 2022, Matthew has previously worked as a Personal Trainer at Genesis Health Clubs and held various roles with the City of Aurora, including Recreation Facility Specialist and Recreation Coordinator. Additional experience includes serving as a Recreation Leader for Shawnee County Parks + Recreation, a Parks and Recreation Intern with Lawrence Parks & Recreation, and a Parks and Facilities Maintenance Worker for the City of Roseville. Matthew began their career as a Laborer for USS Cal Builders, Inc. and a Crew Member at Cold Stone Creamery. Matthew earned a Bachelor of Arts in Sport and Fitness Administration/Management from The University of Kansas and also studied at the University of Stirling in 2019.
