Sujata Mehta

Sujata Mehta has worked in various roles in the technology industry since 2013. Sujata began their career as an Intern at GE Healthcare in 2013. After that, they worked as a Senior Software Engineer and Software Engineer II at bigbasket.com from 2014 to 2017. During this time, they designed algorithms and implemented designs for maximum order fulfillment and efficient utilization of resources. Sujata also wrote APIs and webhook frameworks and developed a device responsive feature to browse recipes. Since 2017, they have been employed at Ridecell as a Director of Engineering, Senior Engineering Manager, and Senior Backend Engineer. As Senior Engineering Manager, they managed the Backend, Frontend and QA teams, released Micromobility POC, Business rentals and Vehicle leasing models, and built and managed a team of 15+ engineers. As Software Engineering Manager of Professional Services, they built a customer-centric team of 6 engineers and generated revenue of 100K per quarter through SOWs. As Senior Backend Engineer, they worked on Django Rest framework to build APIs for the Professional Services team.

Sujata Mehta obtained a Master of Technology (MTech) in Databases from IIIT Bangalore between 2012 and 2014. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) in Computer Science from Maharana Pratap Engineering College between 2008 and 2012. Additionally, they obtained a certification in Introduction to Mathematical Thinking from Coursera in April 2014.
