Ernest Martineau

Ernest Martineau has extensive experience in law enforcement and construction. Serving as Chief of Police for the City of Fitchburg, MA since February 2015, Martineau previously held the position of Detective Sergeant within the same department from January 2009 to February 2015. Earlier, Martineau worked as a Police Officer for the City of Fitchburg from November 1987 to January 1997. In addition to a robust career in policing, Martineau has significant experience in the construction industry, having served as Owner/President of EFM Contracting LLC from 2000 to 2013 and as a Builder from January 1999 to February 2015. Martineau is a licensed general contractor in the State of Massachusetts and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice/Police Science from Norwich University, along with additional training from Babson College School of Police Management.
