Sam Squailia serves as the Mayor of Fitchburg, Massachusetts, since January 2024. In addition to mayoral duties, Sam has been a member of the Massachusetts Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Board since October 2018, appointed by Governor Baker. Sam is also the owner of RusticCraft, specializing in custom-designed, hand-engraved wood gifts. As a media personality, Sam hosts "Discussing Fitchburg Now" on FATV. Previously, Sam held the position of First Vice President of the Massachusetts Municipal Association and served as a City Councilor-At-Large for Fitchburg from January 2018 to January 2024. Sam's career in architecture and engineering spans over two decades as a designer and project manager at McKenzie Engineering Co., while educational achievements include a Master of Architecture from the Boston Architectural College and a Bachelor of Science in Architectural Building Engineering from the New England Institute of Technology.
