Christi Britten is an experienced professional in the fields of arts administration and communication, currently serving as the Executive Director of the Tennessee Valley Art Association since December 2019. Concurrently, Christi also holds the position of Program Coordinator with the City of Florence, Alabama, a role maintained since February 2016. Past roles include Communications Manager at the Florence-Lauderdale Public Library (2014-2016), Gallery Coordinator at GAS Design Center (2009-2010), and Instructional Technician in the Art Department at Green River Community College (2003-2008). Early career experience includes a position as Darkroom Technician at the University of North Alabama (2001-2003) and records management/data entry at Jefferson Title Company, LLC (1998-1999). Christi holds a Master of Arts in Cultural Studies/Critical Theory and Analysis from Goddard College (2019-2021) and a Bachelor's degree in Communication and Media Studies from the University of North Alabama (1999-2003).
