Justin Mahon is an experienced environmental compliance professional with a strong background in regulatory compliance and program management. Currently serving as the Environmental Compliance Manager for the City of Fort Myers since June 2022, Justin evaluates and recommends improvements to city processes while interpreting regulatory requirements for daily operations. Previously, as an Environmental Supervisor at the Florida Department of Health from October 2015 to June 2022, Justin oversaw multiple environmental health programs, including OSTDS and Harmful Algal Bloom response initiatives. Justin began as an Environmental Specialist, focusing on water quality enforcement, and received a promotion to supervisor in December 2017. Earlier experience includes working as a Sport Supervisor at FSU Campus Rec, where Justin managed a large sports complex, and an internship with Leon County Government, analyzing water quality samples for reports. Justin holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Biological and Physical Sciences from Florida State University.
