Milissa Reierson has extensive experience in communications, currently serving as the Chief Communications Officer for the City of Franklin, Tennessee, since December 2007. As the first Communications Manager for the city, Milissa oversees the Communications Division, focusing on social media, public outreach, internal and external communication, crisis communication, and Franklin TV. Prior to this role, Milissa worked as Communications Manager for the City of Franklin from 2008 to 2012 and served as Communications Director for the Tennessee Department of Labor and Workforce Development under Governors Bredesen and Sundquist. Milissa began their career as a television reporter and anchor at various CBS and ABC affiliates, where Milissa reported on a wide range of news stories. Milissa holds a degree in Communications, Telecommunications, and Film from San Diego State University and is a graduate of Sandia High School.

The City Administrator is appointed by the BOMA. The Administrator carries out approved policies, makes recommendations to BOMA, and provides administrative leadership to the City’s 700+ employees.
