Doug McKelvey

Doug McKelvey has a diverse work experience in the field of fire safety and management. Doug started their career in 1998 as a Fire Captain with the City of Fremont Fire Department and served in this role until 2007. In 2006, they joined the City of Fremont, CA as a Battalion Chief, where they managed 5 fire stations and responded to emergency incidents. From 2007 to the present, they also worked with the California Interagency Incident Management Team 1 as a Safety Office Type 1. In 2016, they became the Division Chief of Operations for the City of Fremont, overseeing fire department operations. In 2018, they retired but continued contributing to the field as a California State Certified Fire Instructor. Currently, they work as an ICS Specialist at Earth Foundries, Inc.

Doug McKelvey obtained a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration and Management, General from California State University - East Bay. Doug attended the university from 1987 to 2000.
