Chris Shuma

Chris Shuma is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and meteorology. Currently serving as a Senior GIS Analyst at the City of Frisco since May 2015, Chris designs, develops, and supports geospatial solutions utilizing ArcGIS Portal while addressing complex geospatial product requests. Previous experience includes a role as a GIS Analyst at BIS Consulting, where Chris enhanced GIS data through the interpretation of legal documents. Chris's background also features a Meteorology Intern position at Chesapeake Energy, an Aviation Intern role at Massachusetts Institute of Technology/Lincoln Laboratory, and volunteer work focused on weather forecasting for United Airlines. Chris holds a Master of Science in Geospatial Information Science from The University of Texas at Dallas and a Bachelor of Science in Meteorology from Valparaiso University.
