Mayra Diaz

Mayra Diaz has over 25 years of experience in library services, currently serving as the Assistant Director of Library Public Services for the City of Frisco since June 2008, after previously holding the role of Youth Services Manager. Prior to this, Mayra worked as a Youth Services Librarian for both the City of Frisco and the City of Plano from 1991 to 2005. Mayra's career began in the United States Air Force, where work as a Sergeant in the 27th Tactical Air Command involved logistics, supply, warehousing, and computer operations from December 1985 to October 1990. Mayra holds a Master of Library & Information Science specializing in Children and Youth Library Services from Texas Woman's University and a Bachelor of Speech Pathology and Audiology from The University of Texas at Dallas, along with a degree in Logistics/Computer Operations from the Community College of the Air Force.
