Matthew Wells

Matthew Wells is an experienced professional in public safety and education, currently serving as an Education Program Specialist at the Ohio Department of Education since October 2014. In addition to this role, Matthew holds positions as a Firefighter Paramedic with Pleasant Township Fire Department and a Reserve Police Officer with the City of Galion. Matthew has also been a Public Safety Services Instructor at TriRivers Career Center and a Fire Training Officer at the State of Ohio Fire Marshal Academy. Previously, Matthew served as Assistant Fire Chief at Springfield Township Fire Department and as Firefighter/Paramedic at the City of Galion Fire Department. Matthew holds a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice/Safety Studies from Southern New Hampshire University and an Associate of Arts and Sciences in EMS Management from Rhodes State College, along with extensive training from various institutions including the University of Arizona and TriRivers/Marion General School of Paramedicine.
