Derek Ramos

Derek Ramos, MBA, currently serves as the Assistant City Manager at City of Garden City, Kansas. Prior to their current role, Derek worked at Garden City Community College for nearly a decade, initially as the Dean of Physical Planning & Facilities Management/Civil Rights Investigator and later as the Director of Facilities. Derek also served as a Commissioner at the Kansas Hispanic and Latino American Affairs Commission. In addition, Derek has previous experience as a Project Engineer at TATRO, Financial Advisor at Edward Jones, and Associate Financial Advisor at Northwestern Mutual. Derek holds a Master of Business Administration from National American University and a Bachelor of Business Administration from Kansas State University.
