Don Daugherty

Don Daugherty, CPA, serves as the Financial Services Manager for the City of Garland since August 2009, overseeing cash, investments, debt management, and customer credit management for GP&L. Key responsibilities include participation in the Credit Working Group at ERCOT and maintaining compliance with ERCOT protocols. Previously, Don held the position of Financial Services Coordinator, supervising key financial functions and preparing quarterly financial statements. Prior to joining the City of Garland, Don worked at Deloitte from December 1999 to April 2009 as a Senior Manager, managing a multimillion-dollar client portfolio and leading audit teams in compliance with GAAS and GAAP standards. Don holds a Bachelor's degree in Accounting from Texas A&M University-Commerce and an Associate's degree in Business Administration from Trinity Valley Community College.
