Jacob Acton

Jacob Acton has extensive experience in various roles related to economic development and education. Currently serving as the Economic Development Manager - Strategy and Intelligence for the City of Garland since October 2019, Jacob has previously held positions such as Business Analyst and Research Specialist within the same organization. Prior to that, Jacob worked as a Science Teacher for at-risk high school students at Garland Independent School District. Experiences also include roles at Real Time Resolutions, Inc. as a Customer Resolutions Analyst and Customer Solutions Specialist, and various positions in banking and administrative support. Jacob's educational background includes a Doctor of Philosophy in Public Policy and Political Economy, a Master of Public Policy focusing on National Security Policy Studies, and a Bachelor of Arts in Historical Studies from The University of Texas at Dallas.
