Jay Jascott

Jay Jascott is an experienced urban forestry and landscape management professional currently serving as the Urban Forest Manager for the City of Garland since September 2021. Previously, Jay held the title of Field Supervisor for Landscape, Medians, and Rights-of-Way at the same organization. Prior experience includes the role of Maintenance Irrigation Manager at Complete Landsculpture and Maintenance Division Manager at Nova Landscape Group, Inc., where project management for large commercial landscape installations and maintenance contracts were key responsibilities. Jay also contributed as the Urban Forester/Manager II for the City of Dallas, establishing the Urban Forestry Division, and served as Landscape Supervisor at the University of Texas at Dallas, overseeing a team and managing significant landscape projects. Academic credentials include a Bachelor's Degree in Multi/Interdisciplinary Studies with a focus on Natural Science, Mathematics, and Environmental Studies from The University of Texas at Dallas, alongside education from Texas A&M University and Jesuit College Prep Dallas.
