Skylar Kempel has extensive experience in law enforcement and athletic training. Currently serving as an Investigator in the Gang Unit and Assistant Team Leader for the SWAT at the City of Garland since November 2015, Skylar also holds roles as a Police Officer in both the Neighborhood Policing Unit and Patrol Division. Simultaneously, Skylar has been a U.S. Soccer Federation Referee since 2014. Previous experience includes serving as Director of Travel Operations for Women's Soccer and Assistant Athletic Trainer at Southern Methodist University, and as an Intern Athletic Trainer for the Dallas Mavericks. An educational background includes a Master of Science in Sport Management from the University of Tennessee and a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology and Exercise Science from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
