Dr. Gregory R. Grier has a diverse work experience in the field of health and human services. Dr. Gregory R. currently serves as the Director of Community Support Services at Gaston County Department of Health and Human Services, a position they have held since January 2023. Prior to this, they worked as the Special Projects Manager at the same organization from December 2021 to January 2023. Before joining Gaston County, Dr. Grier held the position of Program Administrator for Child Welfare and Adult Services at Cleveland County from January 2020 to August 2021. Dr. Gregory R. also worked at Cleveland County Department of Social Services, where they served as a Finance Accounting Specialist from January 2018 to January 2020, a Social Work Supervisor III from June 2013 to January 2020, and a Social Worker III from June 2011 to June 2013. Dr. Gregory R. Grier earned their Bachelor's Degree in Social Sciences from Gardner-Webb University in 2005. Dr. Gregory R. went on to pursue a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) with a focus on Human Resource Management at the same university, graduating in 2009. In 2018, Dr. Grier obtained their Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) in Organizational Leadership, once again from Gardner-Webb University.
