Tom Brewer

Tom Brewer has extensive experience in law enforcement and public service. Currently serving as a Commissioner for the Personnel Commission with the City of Gilroy since March 2015, Brewer provides advisory services on job classification recommendations. Previous roles include Consultant and Background Investigator at Creative Security Company, Special Investigator for the FBI, Chief of Investigators at the Santa Clara County District Attorney's Office, and Police Captain at the San Jose Police Department, where Brewer commanded Special Operations before retirement in 2000. Tom Brewer's educational background includes a Bachelor of Science in Public Administration from the University of San Francisco and attendance at the FBI National Academy.
