Planning and Development

The Planning and Development team at the City of Gilroy is responsible for overseeing and guiding the city’s growth and land use. This team, which includes the Chief Building Official, Planning Manager, and Planning Intern, collaborates on reviewing development proposals, maintaining zoning regulations, and ensuring that building codes are followed. Their goal is to support orderly and sustainable development that preserves Gilroy's small-town charm while accommodating future growth and diversification of the local economy.
