Ben Colia

Ben Colia is an experienced Geographic Information System (GIS) professional with a strong background in asset management and public assistance. Currently serving as the GIS Administrator and Asset Management GIS Specialist for the City of Glenwood Springs since January 2020, Ben also holds the role of Public Assistance Subject Matter Expert in GIS at Witt O'Brien's. Prior experience includes working as a GIS Specialist for the Eagle River Water and Sanitation District and serving as a Geospatial Engineer Team Leader in the US Army, where Ben applied geospatial technology for military operations and disaster relief. Ben Colia holds a Master of Geospatial Information Science and Technology from North Carolina State University and a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Biology from Fort Lewis College, along with specialized training from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers School in GIS.
