Jim Dixon

Jim Dixon is an accomplished sports management professional with extensive experience in leadership roles across various organizations. Currently managing Lifeguard Services at the City of Gold Coast since November 2021, Jim has also served as the A/General Manager of Communities and General Manager of Property Services. Previous positions include Director of Non-Market Housing & Social Operations at the City of Vancouver and General Manager of Rugby Operations & High Performance at Rugby Canada, where oversight involved a $9 million department and strategic initiatives for Olympic and World Cup preparations. Additional leadership roles included Chief Executive Officer at BC Rugby, Executive Director at BC Adaptive Snowsports, and National Coaching Development Manager at England Netball. Jim's educational background includes a Bachelor of Physical Education with a focus on sports psychology and coaching from the University of Otago.
