Bethany Brunsell

Bethany Brunsell currently serves as the Assistant Fire Chief for the City of Golden Valley, MN, a position held since October 2019. Concurrently, Brunsell has held the role of Captain with West Metro Fire-Rescue District since January 2011. Previous experience includes serving as a Fire Prevention Specialist for the City of Maple Grove from June 2017 to October 2019, and as a Fire and Life Safety Educator for the St Paul Fire Department from October 2014 to June 2017. Additionally, Brunsell worked as a 911 Dispatcher for Carver County for a brief period in 2014 and spent over 12 years as a teacher at FAIR School Crystal. Educational qualifications include a Master's degree in Music Teacher Education from the University of St. Thomas, a Bachelor's degree in Music Education from the University of Minnesota, and ongoing studies toward an Associate's degree in Fire Science/Fire-fighting at Hennepin Technical College.
