Georgia Lord has served as the Mayor of the City of Goodyear since March 2011, after initially being elected to fill a two-year unexpired term and serving on the Goodyear City Council since 2005. Prior to their tenure in public office, Georgia Lord held the position of Sales Representative and Trainer at NVR, Inc. from 1988 to 1992, and worked as a Freelance Fashion Model in the fashion industry from 1956 to 1992, engaging in runway and photography assignments both domestically and internationally. In terms of education, Georgia Lord earned a Doctor of Public Administration from Franklin Pierce University, a Real Estate Sales License from Arizona State University in 1994, and a certificate in German from the Defense Language Institute in 1978. Georgia Lord also studied at Michigan State University from 1956 to 1958.
