Don Shields has a diverse work experience in the healthcare sector. Don began their career in 1974 as a Health Care Administrator in the USAF and continued in the same role with the USAF Medical Service in 1978. In 1994, they transitioned to become the Director of the Health Department at the City of Grand Forks, North Dakota.
Don Shields completed their education in two phases. From 1970 to 1974, they attended the University of North Dakota and earned an MBA in Business. Later, from 1986 to 1998, they attended Baylor University and obtained an MHA in Health Care Administration.
