Ryan Schmitz

Ryan Schmitz is currently serving as Utilities Director at the City of Grand Island. Ryan previously held positions such as Interim Utilities Director and Assistant Utilities Director - Engineering & Business Operations. Prior to their role at the city, Ryan worked as a Production Engineer at Platte Generating Station and as a Project Manager/Design Engineer at Schwab-Eaton P.A. Ryan started their engineering career at Ruggles & Bohm, P.A. as a Design Engineer, and also gained experience as an Intern Engineer at the US Army Corps of Engineers. Ryan holds a Master's Degree in Engineering Management from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from South Dakota State University.
