Diana Ortiz has extensive experience in financial management and administration. Diana started their career in 1985 as an Investments Analyst at the City of Corpus Christi, where they worked until 1989. Diana then joined the City of Euless as a Finance Director from 1995 to 1997. Diana subsequently worked at the City of Denton as the Chief Financial Officer from 1997 to 2006. Currently, they hold the position of Chief Financial Officer at the City of Grand Prairie, a role they have held since 2006.
Diana Ortiz's education history includes obtaining an MBA in Management from Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi from 1985 to 1988. Prior to that, from 1978 to 1982, they completed a BBA degree in Finance at Texas A&M University-Kingsville. During the same period, they also earned a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree in Finance & Economics from Texas A & I University (TAMUK current).
In addition to their formal education, Diana Ortiz has also obtained certifications. In 1994, they became a Certified Government Finance Officer (GFOAT) from the Government Finance Officers Association of Texas. In 2004, they obtained the Registered Tax Assessor/Collector certification from the State of Texas.
