Lisa Norris has a diverse work experience in the Human Resources field. Lisa started their career as a Benefits Administrator at EDS Group in 1990 and worked there until 1994. Then, they joined the City of Carrollton as a Human Resources Analyst for two years before moving to the City of Grand Prairie. At the City of Grand Prairie, Lisa started as a Human Resources Manager in 1996 and later became the Human Resources/Civil Service Director in 2006, which is their current role. In their current position, they are responsible for overseeing all HR functions, including recruitment, retention, benefits, and compensation administration. Lisa also contributes to developing programs and solutions that align with the organization's mission and fosters a culture of engagement.
Lisa Norris completed their high school education at Newman Smith High School, earning a High School Diploma between the years 1984 to 1986. Following that, they attended Baylor University from 1986 to 1990 and obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education and Teaching. In addition to their formal education, Lisa Norris also obtained the certification of SHRM - Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) from SHRM in January 2015.
