Chardonnay Henderson

Chardonnay Henderson is currently the Secretary to the City Manager at City of Grand Rapids. Prior to that, they worked as an Executive Administrative Assistant at United Methodist Community House from April 2015 to September 2017. There, they were responsible for supporting the Office of Human Resources, Administration, Funds Development and Marketing. This included tasks such as orienting new hires, managing employee files and documents, event planning and coordination, and databases entry.

In September 2017, Chardonnay began working as a Resource Navigator at The SOURCE GR. In this role, they provided concierge level service to employees of SOURCE member companies in an effort to eliminate barriers and accomplish goals by connecting them to offering West Michigan's rich resources.

Before their current positions, Chardonnay gained experience in the event planning industry as an Assistant Event Planner - Intern at Stella Event Design from May 2013 to October 2013. Chardonnay also has experience in a clerical role, having worked as a Clerical Assistant at Grand Valley State University from October 2010 to April 2013.

Chardonnay Henderson holds a Bachelor of Science in Public Relations, Advertising, and Applied Communication from Grand Valley State University and certification from the City of Grand Rapids in Event Planning.
