Adminstrative Analyst I at City of Grand Rapids

Ciarra Adkins is an administrative analyst who has worked for the City of Grand Rapids for several years. Prior to their current position, they worked as a program manager for the W.K. Kellogg Foundation, where they assisted with the development and implementation of investment strategies in Grand Rapids. Ciarra also served as the dean of student accountability for Grand Rapids Public Schools. In their current role, they provide support to the city manager and other department heads by performing analysis and research on a variety of topics, including budgeting, personnel, and policy issues.

Ciarra Adkins obtained their Master of Public Administration (MPA) from Grand Valley State University in Non-Profit Leadership and Management. Ciarra is currently a Fellow in the Political Determinants of Health (PDOH) Learning Laboratory (2021-2022 Cohort) at Morehouse School of Medicine. Ciarra has also participated in the Bloomberg Harvard City Leadership Initiative at Harvard University and is a part of the Racial Equity Here (REH) Cohort at Government Alliance on Race and Equity (GARE) & Living Cities.
