Ken Godwin

Ken Godwin is currently a Safety Technician at the City of Grand Rapids. Prior to this, they were Utility field operations crew leader at the City of Grand Rapids Water Department from February 2018 to April 2019. Ken was also President of GREIU (Grand Rapids Employees Independent Union) from February 2015 to June 2018, where they upheld the principles of trade union democracy. From January 2012 to December 2015, they served as 1st Vice President of GREIU, and from October 2002 to February 2018, they were a UFO II (Utility field operator) at the City of Grand Rapids Water System. Prior to that, they were a Parent Action Leader (PAL) at Grand Rapids Public Schools from January 2000 to December 2005. Ken has also served as a Sewer Maintenance Worker I/II at the City of Grand Rapids from October 1996 to October 2002.
