Jimmie Wideman

Jimmie Wideman has a diverse work experience in public service, starting as a Medic Firefighter at Hampton Fire & Rescue in 1988. Jimmie then moved to the Hampton Police Division in 1994, eventually retiring as a Captain and Deputy Commander of Professional Standards in 2019. Jimmie continued their career as an Intelligence Analyst at the Air Force Office of Special Investigations before becoming the Chief of Police for the City of Hampton in 2023.

Jimmie Wideman earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology from Saint Leo University in 2002. Jimmie later pursued a Master's degree in Criminology from the same university, graduating in 2016.
