Bryan Schowalter

Bryan Schowalter has a diverse work experience in law enforcement. Bryan started their career as a Patrol Officer in the City of Hastings in 2006 and served in that role until 2009. From 2009 to 2012, they worked as an Agent/Investigator, managing controlled substance investigations and conducting undercover operations. Starting in 2012, Bryan became the Sergeant/Team Leader of the Dakota County Drug Task Force, supervising a team of 15 agents and overseeing various operational plans. In 2014, they returned to the City of Hastings as a Patrol Sergeant, responsible for supervising patrol activities and shift assignments. In 2017, Bryan was promoted to Police Commander, where they provided leadership, managed patrol operations, and ensured quality performance outcomes. Most recently, in May 2022, they assumed the role of Deputy Chief of Police, although no end date for this position is provided.
