Kelly Murtaugh

Kelly Murtaugh has extensive experience in various roles within the education sector. From 2021, they have served as the Assistant City Administrator and Human Resources Director at the City of Hastings MN. Prior to this, from 2018 to 2021, they worked as a Higher Education Accreditation Consultant at Leverage Development, LLC. In 2019, they took on the role of Interim Dean at Metropolitan State University's College of Nursing & Health Sciences. Before that, Kelly held the position of Academic Programs Director at Minnesota State Colleges and Universities from 2017 to 2018. Kelly also served as the Vice President of Academic Affairs at Saint Paul College from 2013 to 2016 and held the interim role before that. Additionally, they have experience as the Vice President of Academic & Student Affairs at Dakota County Technical College from 2009 to 2013 and as a Dean at the same institution from 2001 to 2009.

Kelly Murtaugh earned a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Speech Communication from the University of Minnesota-Morris from 1984 to 1988. Following that, Kelly completed a Master of Arts (MA) degree in College Student Personnel from Bowling Green State University from 1988 to 1990. Lastly, Kelly pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Leadership for Higher Education from Capella University from 2007 to 2010.
