Sarah Killian

Sarah Killian, MBA, serves as the Communications Specialist and Public Information Officer for the City of Hickory since December 2017, where responsibilities include acting as the media liaison and marketing city services and programs. Prior to this role, Sarah held the position of Marketing Director at Everett Chevrolet Buick GMC Cadillac, optimizing marketing initiatives across four dealerships from March 2010 to October 2017. Earlier experience includes various positions such as Graduate Research Assistant at Appalachian State University, Chapter Vice President for the American Marketing Association, and a Marketing and Public Relations Intern at Frye Regional Medical Center. Sarah holds a Master of Business Administration and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, with concentrations in Marketing and Management, both from Appalachian State University.
